One lucky person in South Carolina is the winner of the second highest Mega Millions jackpot in history.

But one lucky person in Tampa is walking away with $1 million. That winning ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven on 78th Street in Tampa. 

Even if you won a couple of thousand dollars, we spoke with one attorney who says you should always seek legal help before collecting a large sum of money. 

"You don't make any rush decisions without fully understanding what you're coming into. And I also think it's important that the winner gets a full education on what to expect once its announced," says Peter Strauss, Attorney.

In South Carolina, the winner doesn't have to come forward publicly. But, in Florida lottery winners can't remain anonymous. So you should be prepared for your name to be released to the public.
