Dozens of rescuers helped save two stranded manatees in Oldsmar's Mobbly Bayou waters on Monday morning.

Officials believe the two became trapped after high tide during a severe weather event a few weeks ago.

Rescuers were able to net the two and bring them safely to shore. They both received some health checkups and then were microchipped.

Thankfully, both manatees were able to be released back into Tampa Bay at Oldsmar's Veterans Memorial Park.

FWC, Clearwater Marine Aquarium, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Lowry Park Zoo, City of Oldsmar, and USF all took part in making sure the animals were safely brought to another area.
