MIAMI -- Shocking cell phone videos showed a large waterspout in South Florida Wednesday afternoon.
According to ABC-affiliate station WPLG-TV, a waterspout briefly came onshore in Golden Beach, Florida.
A viewer shared a video on social media of the waterspout.
The National Weather Service warned boaters in South Florida to avoid the area during Wednesday afternoon's severe weather.
