GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida has announced it is postponing the women’s soccer team’s season opener after three players tested positive for coronavirus.

Prior to Monday’s announcement, the team was originally scheduled to face Mizzou on the road on Saturday, September 19.

“The action is consistent with COVID-19 management requirements developed by SEC's Medical Guidance Task Force,” UF said on its athletic website.

A makeup date for the postponed date has not been announced as of Monday afternoon.
