Two precinct clerks were fired Tuesday after a disturbance at a South Florida polling place.

According to WPLG, the incident happened at the Herb Skolnick Center in Pompano Beach.

The clerks were fired because they did not follow "procedure and policy," reported WPLG.  But officials would not say exactly what happened inside the polling place.

The clerks have been replaced with backup workers.
