Tampa Bay area crews head to Jacksonville to help restore power after Hurricane Matthew

Tampa Bay Duke Energy crews are heading to Jacksonville to help out after Hurricane Matthew.

Power has been restored to customers in Tampa Bay, freeing up 25 workers to head to the east coast.

More than 3,500 extra workers from a dozen states have been helping out in Florida after the storm. Duke Energy Said crews have been doing 16-hour shifts around the clock.

In eastern central Florida, more than 300,000 customers lost power, but got it back within 72 hours of Hurricane Matthew moving up the coast.
