SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. — Larry Nassar, the former Team USA Gymnastics doctor, has been transferred to a maximum security prison in Florida.

Nassar was serving a federal sentence for child porn in Arizona, but after claims he was attacked in May, officials transferred him.

He was reportedly transferred to a temporary facility in Oklahoma, before being sent to USP Coleman II, a high-security federal prison in Sumter County.

The prison is located roughly 90 minutes from Tampa.

The 55-year-old Nassar is currently serving a 60-year federal sentence on child pornography charges.

Nassar was sentenced in January to 40 to 175 years in prison on seven first-degree criminal sexual conduct charges. The sentence came after seven days of victim-impact statements from 156 women and girls.

On Tuesday, a Michigan judge denied Nassar's request for a new sentence.
