The Lakeland Police Department is searching for a person of interest whom they believe was involved in a homicide that occurred on July 25 on Castle Way in Lakeland.
Johnathan "Jay" Charles-Pierre, 35, was found dead inside his residence with a gunshot wound to the chest after witnesses say someone came to the door with a handgun, demanding for Charles-Pierre to come to the door.
The victim came to the door with a handgun but was shot by the suspect who then fled the scene in a car with possibly two other people inside.
The suspect in the surveillance photos should be considered armed and dangerous.
Crime Stoppers is now offering a reward of $3,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
