Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced Monday a new tool he hopes will bring cost-effective and high-quality healthcare to all Floridians.
One major initiative the Governor spoke about is a new website called Florida Health Price Finder. The site is a tool to help Floridians find the best price for non-emergency health care.
The Agency for Health Care Administration says the website is a “huge step forward in providing consumers with as much information about pricing and quality as possible, allowing Floridians to make more informed health care decisions.”

Governor DeSantis also announced that he is creating an annual Governor Transparency Award. His office will give this award to one hospital or ambulatory surgical center per year which shows excellence in price and transparency.
Agency for Health Care Administration Secretary Mary Mayhew also joined Governor DeSantis at the Walmart on US Highway 19 in Oldsmar Monday to make this announcement.
