If you are planning to hit the road for a long holiday weekend, Friday may be a good day to fuel up.

AAA is forecasting a five to 10 cent spike before Tuesday. The average price of gas in Florida is $2.70.

Gas prices have consistently been declining since Memorial Day, but AAA Spokesman Mark Jenkins said in a written statement, “It looks like the fun is over for motorists who have enjoyed the month-long streak."

Experts do not think the increase will impact people’s travel plans, but it will take more money out of your pocket.

A record 47 million people will travel for the Fourth of July holiday, that includes people boarding flights, but a majority will be hitting the road.
