Parents, get ready to save some money as your children prepare to go back to school.
Florida's back-to-school sales tax holiday kicks off on Friday, August 5th, 2016 at 12:01 a.m. and will end Sunday, August 7th, 2016 at 11:59 p.m.
During that time, no sales tax will be collected on clothing, footwear, and certain accessories selling for $60 or less per item, and on certain school supplies selling for $15 or less per item. This is a cut allowance Florida state officials recently voted on.

MAXIMIZE SAVINGS DURING SALES TAX HOLIDAYS
The state has no issue with you using coupons or taking advantage of buy-one-get-one-free sales during the sales tax holiday, according to the Free tax weekend website.
Retailers are increasingly competitive in the back-to-school period, so be on the lookout for bargains that are unlikely to repeat themselves during the school year.
