CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — A registered sexual predator is accused of touching two girls at a Florida public pool in Englewood.

According to a Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office report, witnesses say 41-year-old Timothy Rice visited the Ann Dever Regional Park swimming pool over the past two weeks and would only play with kids.

A girl says that Rice squeezed her butt and asked for a kiss. Another girl claims Rice grabbed her thigh while in the water.

Other complaints have been filed against Rice for “watching kids” at two state parks in North Florida.

Rice was arrested on Friday after several parent complaints.

Detectives believe he may have interacted with other children at this pool or other locations.

Rice, a former lifeguard, was convicted of Sexual Battery with Victim Under 12 Years Old at an apartment complex pool in Hillsborough County in 1999 and again in 2000.
