A warning from the FWC you should expect to see more ticks this summer.
Florida Fish and Wildlife says they're expecting an uptick in the parasites. They say if you spend time outdoors this summer be sure to check for any ticks, afterward.
If you spot any ticks, remove them right away.
If your pets have ticks, you may want to call pest control to spray the inside and outside of your home.
