Five Miami-area siblings missing

Posted
Dade County police are looking for five children who disappeared from a foster home in.

The siblings -- ages 16, 14, 13, 6 and 5 -- walked out of the building while their case manager was doing paperwork at the Children's Home Society in Cutler Bay.

They are identified as Takira Brown, Nehemiah Brown, Takiya Brown, Tamyiah Brown and Jeremiah Hightower.

On Thursday, a judge ruled the children should be removed from the custody of their adoptive grandmother and placed in the custody of the Department of Children and Families.

While the case worker was doing the paperwork, the children asked to go the bathroom, police said. That's when they disappeared.

Anyone with information about the missing children is asked to call police at 305-418-7200.
