Deputies in Broward County are trying to identify several suspects who threw a firework into a Wendy's restaurant in July.

The night after the Fourth of July, just before 10:00 p.m., surveillance video from the Wendy's at 355 W. Hillsboro Blvd. shows an employee sitting at a table near the door.

The video shows one of the handful of suspects throwing a firework inside.

The group dashes off. Red sparks fly off the firework and a bit of smoke is emitted before a larger flare frightens the worker.

The firework created a roughly seven inch hole in the base of the wall.

Deputies think 8-10 young men are responsible for the blast, some of them wearing t-shirts and others shirtless as they left the restaurant parking lot.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.
