UPDATE | The Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office says that "Little Sammy" has been reunited with his family after the mini horse's story went viral on social media. The Sheriff's Office PIO said that the mini horse was not abandoned, he had just escaped.
ORIGINAL STORY | The Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office is searching for the owner or a future owner of a flaxen mane and tail stud mini horse.
The miniature horse is now impounded at the Sheriff's Office Animal Control.
Deputies posted photos of the little guy on their Facebook page on Tuesday, saying that it needed to be picked up by Friday, or it would be "offered for adoption, auction, or disposed of humanely."
