Andrea Hayes is a speech language pathologist. Sarah Wilkinson is in advertising and the mother of 4. Denis Holden is a fashion buyer for HSN. While their lives never cross on a regular basis, there is one place they go to take out their frustrations, let go of the stress and just “roll with it,” so to speak.
“We have a great time out on the track, its a great way to decompress after work and its really great exercise," says Hayes.
The Deadly Rival Roller Derby team is one of only eight teams in the country who skate on a banked track and Friday, they are all headed to Texas for a national tournament.
Your chance to see the Deadly Rival Roller Derby team in St. Petersburg is right around the corner though. Their next bout is Saturday December 17th. Doors open at 6 p.m. and skating starts at 7 p.m. The “Slayground” is located at 4033 35th Street North, St. Petersburg, in the Petersburg Commerce Center.
