Two men arrested in marijuana grow house bust, suspects stole $9K in electricity

Two men were arrested in a marijuana grow house bust in Tampa on Thursday. 

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says the home on Knoll Ridge Drive had two rooms with marijuana growing in them. Deputies found 40 marijuana root bulbs, approximately 16 pounds of processed marijuana, and approximately 82 pounds of marijuana stalks and unprocessed marijuana in the home. 

A 2009 white Ford van and almost $18,000 in cash was seized at the scene. 

Tampa Electric was called to the scene and found that the suspects were stealing electricity. There was an illegal electrical connection that was providing them with un-metered electricity and had stolen around $9,000 in electricity. 

Angel Ramon De La Rosa Estrada, 39, of Tampa was arrested and charged with two counts of Trafficking in Marijuana, two counts of Cultivation of Marijuana, Grand Theft of Electricity, Maintaining a Dwelling for Manufacturing a Controlled Substance, and Possession with Intent to Sell within 1,000 feet of a Church.

Aldent Ramon Hernandez Rosa, 41, of Tampa, currently lives at the address of the grow house and he was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Marijuana, Cultivation of Marijuana, Grand Theft of Electricity, Maintaining a Dwelling for Cultivation of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The investigation is ongoing.
