Are you heading out of town for the holidays but don't have anyone to check on your house while you're gone? Tampa police department is here to help!

The department posted the information on their Facebook page on December 15. The post features Police Chief Brian Dugan posing like Kevin from the movie 'Home Alone.'

The image says "Planning to leave your 'Home Alone?' Sign up for the Tampa Police Department's Vacation Watch Program. This free service allows City of Tampa residents to notify officers that their homes will be unoccupied for an extended period of time."

If you submit your information, an officer in your zone will check your home if time permits while on his or her tour of duty. If long term watches are requested for more than 2 weeks, the home will be checked at least once a week. Tampa police asks that you submit the form at least 4 to 5 days before your departure.

The best part about all of this? It's a free service to City of Tampa residents.
