The Tampa Police Department has issued a warning to residents after two skimmers were found at a SunTrust Bank at 1701 E. 7th Avenue.
A possible suspect is said to be a male who wore a "dark colored floppy hat and dark t-shirt."
The alleged offender placed the skimmers on the ATM on September 1 and returned at 9:38 p.m. that evening to test the skimmers out.
As a safety tip, the department encourages consumers to "check your balances and transaction history. If you note a discrepancy, contact your banking institution as soon as possible."
