TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa Police are investigating a shooting that left one dead.
Tampa Police officers were dispatched to a report of "shots heard" in the area of N. 47th St and E. Hillsborough Ave just after 12 p.m. Tuesday. Within minutes, another call was received for a person with upper body gunshot wounds being dropped off at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Medical personnel immediately began providing first aid to the victim; however, the victim succumbed to his injuries, police say.

The deceased was later identified as 20-year-old Robert Bellamy Miller III.
