Tampa’s Mayoral candidates spoke at a transportation forum sponsored by Walk Bike Tampa, Inc. Tuesday night at Sparkman Wharf located in the Water Street District of downtown Tampa.
The event was held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and was moderated by Ernest Hooper of the Tampa Bay Times.
500 free tickets were made available and sold out.
The seven mayoral candidates who participated were Ed Turanchik, Harry Cohen, Mike Suarez, Topher Morrison, Jane Castor, David Straz, and LaVaughn King.
Each candidate was allowed to speak for two minutes before questions. Each candidate answered 3 to 4 questions during the forum.
Walk Bike Tampa, Inc. has partnered with several local community stakeholders to explore improving walking and pedestrian safety in Tampa.
Walk Bike Tampa is a 501 C3 and does not support any candidate.
