A gunman shot a 22-year-old Tampa man late Tuesday night following a fight at a Marathon gas station.

Tampa Police report the victim, David Anderson, and the gunman got into a fight at the Marathon gas station at 6901 N. Nebraska Ave.

The dispute then continued a few blocks away at Anderson's home on N. 11th Street. Police say Anderson exchanged gunfire with the suspect.

Anderson was hit by at least one bullet and is being treated at an area hospital. He is expected to survive his injuries.

The suspect remains at large. Detectives do not have a good description of the gunman.

Officers detained at least two people at the Marathon gas station. It is unclear what role they played in the shooting or fight.

Police say the shooting appears to be an isolated incident and do not believe the public is at risk.
