Police in South Carolina are looking for a suspected killer who they believe may be hiding in Tampa.

Officers with the Horry County Police Department say that Marion Javon Campbell, 23, is wanted in connection to the shooting death of a taxicab driver that occurred on June 26 in Conway, South Carolina.

"We believe Campbell is hiding in the Tampa, Florida area. PLEASE spread the word and help us catch this Horry County crook," HCPD posted on Facebook on Friday.

Police believe that Campbell is responsible for shooting 66-year-old Dennis Mantel. Mantel was found with gunshot wounds in his cab and later died in the emergency room.

Campbell is described as a black male with black hair and brown eyes. He stands 6-foot-2-inches tall and weighs approximately 220 pounds.

Police warn NOT to approach Campbell if you see him. Anyone with information is asked to dial 911 immediately or call the Horry County Police Department at 843-915-8477.
