TAMPA, Fla. — Beginning in September, Spirit Airlines will be offering new flights from Tampa to North Carolina.
The discount airline plans to offer two flights a week between Tampa International Airport and Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) and to Piedmont Triad International Airport near Greensboro beginning September 6. The service will increase to three times weekly starting November 8, 2018. The flights will be offered year-round.
“Guests in Florida will be able to experience all the cool things to do in Asheville, including taking in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains, trying out some of the over 80 craft breweries in the area, and experiencing the local arts scene in downtown Asheville," said Mark Kopczak, Spirit Airlines’ Vice President of Network Planning.
Spirit offers flights to more than 65 destinations in the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean.
