Tampa police are investigating a shooting at Tony's Smoke Shop that left a man in serious condition.
Nicanor Soler, 41, is in the hospital after being shot during an attempted armed robbery of Tony's Smoke Shop on Waters Avenue at 9:09 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said Soler suffered upper body trauma.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, about 150 pounds and armed with a handgun.
Tampa police requests that if anyone was in the area around 9 p.m. and has any information to contact them.
