The inside east and westbound lanes on Waters Avenue between North Newport and N. Willow avenues are closed immediately while department contractors repair a broken sewer mainline, according to a news release from the City of Tampa.
The outside east and westbound lanes will stay open during the repair.
There are signs in the area to alert drivers of the work in the area.
The road should be restored by Friday, July 1, weather permitting.
