The Humane Society of Tampa Bay is nursing back eight puppies found abandoned in a box on the side of the road.
A person found the puppies near the intersection of Busch and 22nd Street in Tampa on Sunday.
According to a Facebook post by the Humane Society, it is suspected the puppies had been suffering for weeks.
They were extremely emaciated and all have severe mange.
The Humane Society hopes that after treatment and some TLC, the puppies will be available for adoption in about four to six weeks.
The Humane Society of Tampa Bay offers affordable veterinary care to the public seven days a week at our Animal Health Center (813-870-3304).
