Missing, endangered Hillsborough turns up safe in Georgia

UPDATE 1:26 a.m. | Tampa police said a missing, endangered man has been found safe in Georgia. 

The family of Edward Singleton, 81, of Tampa, has been notified and headed to Georgia to meet him, a Tampa Police Department statement said. 

ORIGINAL STORY | Tampa police are looking for help to locate a missing elderly man. 

Edward Singleton, 81, was last seen about 8 p.m. Friday at his home in the 3300 block of East Deleuil Avenue in Tampa, Tampa police reports. Police have been told Singleton has dementia.

Police believe Singleton is driving a silver 2001 Chevrolet Silverado with an extended cab. The vehicle has a Florida license plate DES S58.

Singleton is described as having a thin build with grey/black short hair, brown eyes and wears glasses.
