What Tampa Police Department officials initially reported as a shooting in the area of Curtis Hixon Park, turned out to be just an individual with a head injury Friday evening.
According to a news release, " there was a lot of confusion at the onset of this investigation and it was not reported correctly."
Investigators say an individual suffered a non-life-threatening injury to the head, but are still investigating the incident.
