Dozens of people will starting lining up before sunrise on Monday morning for what is one of the Tampa Bay area's most popular charity event despite some of the lowest temperatures in months.

For the eighth year in a row, the Pendas Law Firm located at 816 W. Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. in Tampa is giving away hundreds of free turkeys.

The turkeys will be given out at a "first come, first serve" basis beginning at 8:30 a.m. until supplies run out. There is no requirement to show a need to receive a turkey.

The Pendas Law Firm is giving away 3,000 turkeys this year to disadvantaged families in Jacksonville, Fort Myers, Orlando and Tampa.

If you do plan to get in line early to get a free turkey, remember to dress warm as it will be a chilly morning. Even if you're not attending, be aware of possible traffic delays caused by the turkey giveaway.
