A non-profit pet hospital is working to expand its services. Vets4Pets provides deeply discounted care for animals whose owners struggle to make ends meet. Every dollar they raise goes to their pet patients.

Lucky Dog Daycare in South Tampa is helping them raise money, with a raffle and kissing booth for dogs Tuesday. Your donations are welcome in any amount.

Right now, Vets4Pets is only open 2 days a week, but they are hoping to expand their service to 5 or 6 days a week.

"We’re all consistent amazed at what we’re finding and the help that’s needed and the patients and the degree of illnesses that we’re dealing with that have gone on for far too long, not because these animal owners didn’t have the want to get their animal fixed, they just didn’t have the means," Russ Swisher, practice manager, said.

Vets4Pets offers exams, vaccination, spay and neuter, dental care and even pet food through their pantry.
