Betty Schick always knew she had a younger brother, but she was never able to find him.

"He was adopted out sixty-seven years ago," said Schick.

Both Betty and her mother, Ruth Townsend, always kept him in the back of their minds, but they never thought they would ever be reunited. Betty said she received a phone call a couple months back about a man who said he used Ancestry.com to find his family. The man turned out to be Betty's younger brother Ted.

"We just cried and cried every time we were on the phone," said Shick.

Sunday morning Betty got to meet her brother for the very first time. The two hugged and cried when he got into the airport terminal at TIA.

"I still don't believe it, it's something I've wanted all of my life, to meet my real family," said Ted Hobson.

Hobson was also able to re-connect with his mother. The two had a heartfelt exchange while meeting at Betty's home in Homosassa.

"I tried to find him and it's hard to believe that it's happening," said Townsend.

Hobson lives in the Philadelphia area, but he said he plans to visit Florida again to keep connected to his family.
