TAMPA — Tampa Police say the 20-year-old man shot in the chest in the parking lot of a McDonald's in South Tampa on Friday night has died.
Authorities say Nicholas Mortazavi was transported to the hospital for treatment and was pronounced deceased at approximately 3:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
Detectives are currently questioning persons of interest and no arrests have been made at this time. However, the police say the gunman and the victim were acquaintances and the public is not in danger.

The shooting happened at the McDonald's on Dale Mabry Hwy. and El Prado Blvd.
"They had it blocked off, so I figured something went down traumatically," neighbor Kayla Laney said. "So, you don't see that quite often, every day there."
Police are still trying to establish a motive in the shooting.
