Crews from Tampa Fire Rescue worked to cap a gas line leak in South Tampa.
According to TFR, a construction crew hit a gas line at the intersection of N. Himes Ave. and W. Lemon Street. around 11:30 a.m.
North Himes Ave. was closed between Cypress and Cass as crews made a repair.
Several homes and nearby businesses had to be evacuated, but have been given the all clear.
