Puerto Rico is still suffering after Hurricane Maria ripped through the island nation weeks ago.
The images of the people of Puerto Rico suffering have moved so many to help in any way that they can.
Jaci Petrock, who works for Crunch Fitness, is one of those people. "It's about being a community and coming together and doing what is absolutely awesome for the good of all people," said Petrock.
Petrock started using the 10 Crunch locations in Tampa Bay to collect the items needed down in Puerto Rico. A plane is scheduled to leave Wednesday, September 27 full of supplies.
They say their greatest needs are:
- Non-perishable food (dry goods; can goods; beef jerky; nuts; crackers; granola bars etc)
- Baby Food (formula, wafers, food pouches, etc)
- Pet Food & Treats (ideally portioned out in gallon sized Ziplock bags for easy distribution... bows would be great too)
- Self-Care Items (toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, deodorant, shampoo, lotion, razors, feminine products, antibacterial hand wipes etc)
- Baby Items (diapers, wipes, bottles, powder, etc)
- Small Generators including The 2 Cycle Oil
- Batteries, Battery Operated Fans and Flashlights
- Tarps
- Manual Can Openers
- Paper/Plastic Plates, Plastic Utensils, Ziplock Bags, Paper Towel, Napkins, Toilet Paper, QTips, etc
- First Aid Kits, Allergy Medication, Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, Bandages, Off Mosquito Repellant, etc
- Household Cleaning Chemicals, Sponges, Rags, etc.
