UPDATE (11:56 a.m. Monday): One eastbound lane of Hillsborough Avenue between Silvermill Drive and Montague St. is now open, along with all westbound lanes.
Eastbound lanes of W. Hillsborough Avenue between Montague and Silvermill remain closed on Monday morning due to a brush fire in the area.

Firefighters worked throughout the night to put out the fire and smoke remains in the roadways.
No timetable has been given for when lanes will reopen.
