Tampa Police officers are investigating an armed robbery which occurred in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park early Tuesday morning.
A person reported they were robbed at gunpoint near the park around 1:00 a.m., police confirmed this but have not stated what items were stolen.
Police responded and established a perimeter using K9 officers and the department's helicopter to search for the robbery suspects.
Police are searching for a suspect described as a black male who is approximately 6-feet tall. He was last seen wearing a blue bandana, white tank top, black jeans and was carrying a tan backpack.
