The 2017 Florida State Fair is still more than two months away but it is time to start thinking about all that tasty fair food, animal exhibits, rides and exhibits. Tickets for next year's Fair went on sale Thursday at midnight.
Prices for advance tickets are as follows:
- $9 for ages 12 and older
- $5 for ages 6 to 11 (children 5 and younger are admitted free)
- $7 for seniors ages 55 and older (valid only February 13 -17)
- $20 unlimited weekday ride armband (valid on February 9, 13, 14, 15 or 16)
- $30 unlimited ride armband good for any day of the Fair
Admission prices will be higher at the gate. There is no price to park for the State Fair.
As an incentive to get people to purchase tickets early, all ride armband tickets purchased on December 1st will include a free Gold Access pass which allows the bearer to use a special express line for many of the rides on weekends and the final day of the Fair.
Tickets for the Country Gold concerts on February 14 and 15 at the Fair are also now on sale.
The Valentine's Day concert will feature Leroy Van Dyke, Barbara Fairchild, David Frizzell and Johnny Lee. The February 15th show stars Leroy Van Dyke, Steve and Rudy Gatlin, Bobby Bare and Marty Haggard.
Prices for the concerts are $15 for VIP floor seats or $10 for General Admission bleacher seats. Tickets do not include the price of admission to the Fair which must be purchased separately.
The 2017 Florida State Fair runs from February 9 to 20 at the State Fairgrounds in Tampa.
