A little dog named Jazzabell, owes a lot to Kelsey Steele and her daughter Ramona.
"This maroon van was pulling out of the park and before it pulls out to take a left, I see it open a passenger side door and just toss this little dog out the door," said Steele.
Steele was with her daughter here at Bay Vista Park. She immediately noticed the dog was scared but when she got closer, she saw something even more disturbing
"It has this huge abscess growth on its neck," said Steele.
The growth bigger than the poor pups head. Veterinarians tells us the dogs was clearly neglected and the cost to fix it wouldn't be cheap.
"Someone on Facebook suggested I start a go fund me account, I've never done that before but I gave it a try," said Steele.
Within six hours, friends, family and even strangers donated $1200 towards the upcoming vet bills.
"I just couldn't believe that so many people were willing to help,"
Jazzabell is now recovering after having the growth drained but may still require surgery. If she does, Jazzabell will get a lot of support in her new home.
"A family I know, they've got a few kids, they lost their dog about a year ago and said they'd like to adopt her," said Steele.
The perfect forever home for a young dog looking for a place to make a new start.
