ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Jordan Davis is the CEO of a new food delivery service in South St. Pete called Urban Food Delivery.
The USF graduate is also the head delivery driver, marketing director and every other position you can think of. Davis just launched his business a couple weeks ago but he thinks it is exactly what his neighborhood needs.
There are not a lot of great food options in South St. Pete. There are even fewer that deliver. Newfangled delivery options like Uber Eats are not always available in that part of the city.
“Other companies may have reservations about going to certain neighborhoods,” Davis says. “We go everywhere on the South Side.”
Davis already has a website www.urbanfooddelivery.com set up where you can order from 15 restaurants in the small 6-mile radius he is currently covering. He charges a flat rate of $5 for each food delivery. He gladly accepts tips.
Davis wants deliveries in his neighborhood to be short enough so the food arrives hot and on time.
“All the restaurants are very close together so I can get there quickly,” Davis says.
Davis is working on getting an app on most mobile formats in a couple weeks. If things go well, he hopes to set up shop in select Tampa neighborhoods, too.
