ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Police are investigating after a man was found dead in a car on Monday night.
St. Petersburg Police say 29-year-old Derrick Williams Jr. was found dead in a car in the 100 block of 38th St. North.
At approximately 9:15 p.m., someone in a nearby home called 911 stating that they thought they heard a crash and saw a driver slumped over in a gray sedan.

When officers arrived the car's engine was still running and they discovered Williams was shot and deceased.
