A man in a motorized wheelchair was killed in a traffic accident involving a pickup truck Friday afternoon.
It happened at about 3:00 p.m. on 1st Ave. N. and 55th St. N. in St. Petersburg.
The man in the wheelchair, identified as 61-year-old Mark Ynes, was transported to the hospital where he died of his injuries.
The driver, 60-year-old Patrick Watrous, of the 2003 Ford F150 is cooperating with investigators.
At this time, no charges or citations have been filed, but the investigation into the crash continues.
1st Ave North was shut down between 54th Street North and 57th Street North due to the accident, but has reopened to traffic.
