ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A 6-year-old girl is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after getting hit by a car in St. Pete.
Police say the girl was crossing 18th Avenue S Friday night when she was hit by the car. She was with a 13-year-old girl but, at this time, authorities say it's unclear if the older girl was also struck.
The driver remained on the scene of the accident and is cooperating with police.
The investigation continues.
