ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — St. Petersburg Police are searching for a man caught on video carjacking a family.

The suspect, who has yet to be identified, approached the parked vehicle at 532 6th Avenue North just before 4 p.m. on Saturday as a man and his two-year-old daughter were getting groceries out of the car, according to police.

As the suspect approached the family he pulled out a gun and demanded the car keys. The father handed the suspect his keys, grabbed his daughter and the rest of his groceries and watched as the suspect took off in his car.

Police said they are now looking for a green 2010 Toyota Corolla with a bike rack on top and tag number 147-XDY.
