A Treasure Island woman who plead guilty to DUI charges in 2012 is now accused of causing a deadly DUI accident Wednesday night in Madeira Beach.
Pinellas County deputies arrested 26-year-old Ashley Konfort. Deputies say she hit and killed 73-year-old Nancy Jones near 130th Avenue. Jones was in a crosswalk at the time and crossing the street with her husband.
Paramedics say Jones died at the scene of the crash.
Konfort is now charged with DUI manslaughter and possession of marijuana.
