A Gulfport man was arrested and charged with kidnapping a 12-year-old girl in Philadelphia.
21-year-old Liam Heim reportedly met the girl through Discord, a chat service.
Collingswood Police initially responded to reports that the 12-year-old was missing on Thursday, March 29. She had last been seen at Collingswood Middle School, and was seen at the Patco Speedline station traveling with Liam Heim at about 2:00 p.m.
The prosecutor's report says the Special Victim's Unit, Philadelphia Police Airport Unit and the Collingswood Police department located the girl with Heim at a hotel. He was charged with one count of first degree kidnapping and one count of third degree endangering the welfare of a child.
He was also charged by Homeland Security Investigations Philadelphia with 18 USC 2423(a) – Transportation of Minor to Engage in Criminal Sexual Activity and 18 USC 2423(b) – Interstate Travel to Engage in Illicit Sexual Conduct.
