ANNA MARIA ISLAND, Fla. — Theresa McGoey loved her trip to Anna Maria Island in January. The New Jersey mom brought her 12-year-old daughter Addison and some friends to the area.
“It was great, the weather was amazing,” said McGoey.
The last day of the trip Addison lost her favorite stuffed animal, a buffalo named Rudolph.
"She was depressed about it and sad,” said McGoey.
Theresa posted an ad on Craigslist in the "lost and found” section, hoping someone might see Rudolph.
“I know it was a shot in the dark,” said McGoey.
Meanwhile, MCAT trolley driver Patricia Adams was driving her route on Anna Maria Island when she noticed a bag in the road.
"I stopped the trolley and I picked it up. I looked in the bag and I saw the stuffed animal,” said Adams.
Adams knew it was a long shot, but she checked the Craigslist “lost and found” section.
“I was so happy when I found the ad,” said Adams.
She called the number on the ad and sent the stuffed animal back to Addison.
“I brought me joy to help,” said Adams.
