A 3-year-old Bradenton girl suffered serious injuries when she was hit by a car on Tuesday night in Manatee County.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports 19-year-old Kade Leavitt was driving his 2007 Mazda CX-7 south on Hubbel Road around 7:30 p.m. As he approached Pine Street, Zarielle Williams ran into the path of the Madza.
The car struck the girl's left side.
Troopers say the toddler was seriously injured, but she is currently in "stable" condition at All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg.
Neither Leavitt nor his 18-year-old passenger were injured in the crash. The FHP also state alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
So far, authorities have not released why the girl was crossing the road by herself in the first place.
