Sarasota County Sheriff's Office launched a homicide investigation after a woman found a dead body in her backyard.
Deputies responded to the area of Leonard Reid Ave. and 32nd St. just after 10:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Through the investigation, detectives identified the body as Alfa Victor Young, 33.
Investigators believe the incident is a result of homicidal violence, but the preliminary cause of death was not released.
